Mission Calls

Tyler was gone to work on Friday, February 9, 2007, so he wasn't home when the mail arrived. Mom and Dad pulled the big envelope from the mailbox and, after a moment's hesitation (Mom: "We could just burn it now..... before he knows.....") called him. UTAH, OGDEN MISSION --
ENTERS THE MTC ON APRIL 11, 2007

After the initial shock, there was laughter and immediate excitement from Ty. Dad was already trying to figure out how to keep Mom from making a monthly trip to Utah Idaho Wyoming. Jeff pointed out that this is one of the top baptizing missions in the world. MaryLynn Garns' dad opened this mission up in 1988. It was formerly the Salt Lake City Mission, then the SLC North Mission and then Ogden. He opened up the Ogden mission. We are probaly going to have dinner with them next week and will get more scoop. In the interim we only have two months!!! Yikes!!!
