October 27, 2005

It's Thursday evening and a lot is going on in the world and in our house. Carol got outta work as quickly as she could today. City Council Secretary is a nuts job! Jeff got home from work and is trying to plan out a trip to Utah to start school up there in January. Planning is fun, but stressful, plus we hate him leaving... Tyler and Dane went to the girls' volleyball game (hmm... I wonder why) and then they are going out to dinner with the mens' volleyball coach to talk about the upcoming season.
I'm going to go get some saurkraut for my brats & tots (that's bratwurst & tater tots for the uninformed). Mmmmmmmm (I'm Homer.)
I love all the political intrigue of the past few weeks. Harriet Miers bailing out of the Supreme Court nomination was too bad. I would have liked to listen to the hearings. I wouldn't have picked her, but I would have given her a chance to make her case. Heck, I think I could write decisions for the High Court. You don't have to be an Appellate Court Judge, just brilliant, like me!
I also find the Rove/Libby/Wilson/Plame mess a mess. From what I can see, Rove and Libby didn't break any laws talking about Plame. However, if they lied to the Grand Jury or obstructed the investigation, they should be indicted. That stinks. But the law is the law is the law.
Couldn't care less about the White Sox and the world series. I saw a little. Seemed like great games. Just not my teams. I am deep into high school (Hart), college (BYU), and pro (Chargers/Ravens) football. and College (BYU) and pro (Lakers) basketball. and even a little hockey (Kings). That's fun... and violent!
Going home.
